Asparagus

 

Ingredients

  • 1 bundle of white or green asparagus

  • 1 tbsp + 1 tsp salt

  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper


Method

1. Fill a deep saucepan with water and add 1 tbsp salt. Bring the water to a light simmer.

2. While the water is coming to a simmer, trim the ends of your asparagus.

3. Once the water is simmering, add the asparagus and cook for about 5 minutes, depending on its thickness. If the vegetable is thicker, cook for longer, and vice versa.

4. Once the asparagus is cooked, add it to a dish and top with the olive oil, 1 tsp salt, and pepper.

5. Serve hot and enjoy!
