Spicy Tomato Shrimp

Ingredients

2 Pounds Cleaned and Cooked Shrimp

1/2 Cup Minced Shallot (about 2)

2 Tbsp Tomato Paste

30oz Chopped Tomatoes

1/4 Cup White Wine

2 Tbsp Minced Garlic (about 2 cloves)

3 Large Basil Leaves

1 Tsp Lemon Zest

1 Tbsp Salt + Salt to taste

1 Tsp Pepper

1/2 Tsp Dried Oregano

1 Tsp Red Chili Flakes (or more!)

Method

1.In a large sauté pan on medium low heat, add the olive oil, tomato paste, garlic, shallot, lemon zest, salt, and pepper, sauté until fragrant.

2.Add in the chopped tomatoes, white wine, oregano, chili flakes, and basil leaves, bring to a light simmer and cover to cook for 12 minutes on low heat.

 
 

3.Once your sauce has been formed, add salt to taste before adding in your cooked shrimp, toss until all the shrimp are covered in the sauce, cover and let sit for 5-7 minutes until the shrimp is warmed and all is incorporated nicely.

 
 

4. Remove from heat and add to your table serving alongside your favorites.

  • This is what I like to call an elevated easy dish. This dish is super simple but looks and tastes very elevated.

  • Enjoy this one with you favorite veggie, I paired mine with pine nut stuffed zucchini!
