Tabbouleh

 

Ingredients

  • 1 cup parsley, finely chopped

  • 2 tbsp fresh mint, finely chopped

  • 1/2 cup red onion, miced

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1/2 cup fresh tomatoes, diced

  • 1 1/3 cups dry bulgur wheat

  • 1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil

  • 3/4 tsp kosher salt


Method

  1. Start by cooking the wheat according to the instructions on the package.

  2. Prepare the parsley, mint, onion, tomato, and garlic. Add all the ingredients to a large bowl.

  3. Toss the produce together, then add the EVOO, salt, lemon, and cooked wheat.

  4. Mix everything thoroughly and refrigerate for 20 minutes to let the flavors meld.

  5. Remove from the fridge, serve, and enjoy!

 
 

Notes
  • This is a simple dish that is not meant to be over complicated.

  • Allowing the dish to rest is very important for the end flavor results!
